The house
We cut in short runs, from cloth chosen a few metres at a time. A print becomes a handful of pieces and then it is gone. What is left is the pattern — and that we will cut again, to you.

Contrast panels joined on a visible gold topstitch, cut to a straight column. Each piece takes its panels from a different bolt, so no two are alike.

The process-

Choose the cloth
Come to the atelier or send a reference. We will tell you honestly what a print will and will not do on a given cut.

Take the measurements
Eleven measurements, taken in person or sent using our guide. We keep them on file for every piece after this one.

Cut and sew
Patterned, cut and sewn by hand. Nothing is batched — your piece is worked on start to finish.

Fit and finish
A first fitting, then adjustment until it sits right. We do not consider a piece finished until it does.

Every style on this site is cut across our full size range, not a shortened one. Where a size has sold out we will cut it again to your measurements rather than tell you it is unavailable.

We buy cloth in short lengths. If a size has gone it has usually gone for good — but the pattern has not, and we cut it again to your measurements.

Before you order
QuestionsCan I order if I cannot come in for measurements?
Yes. Our size guide walks through every measurement we need and how to take it yourself. Send them with your order and we will confirm before cutting.
What if the fit is not right?
Bring it back and we will alter it. Made-to-measure pieces are altered until they fit rather than returned.
Do you restock a print?
Rarely. We buy short lengths, so once a cloth is used it is usually gone. The pattern can always be cut again in a different print.
